What a gem of a place to visit! We were warmly received by very friendly staff, the owner himself spent time with us & even though we were only 3 people, nothing was too much trouble for these guys. The beer is excellent too.

Just enjoyed my first Berg River Brewery Beer - “The Mermaid” Pale Ale. Fruity aromas and flavours against a rich malt backdrop, very moreish! I’ll be keeping some of that in my fridge from now on, and looking forward to tasting their other beers.

Instead of going to a winery in Paarl we dropped into “Berg River Brewery”. What a great spot. We ended up having one of those experiences that you simply can’t plan for on a holiday. After doing some tastings of excellent beer, we met the brewery owners, Glen & Sophia, & soon felt like two of their regulars. This has been a highlight of our Cape Town trip & we highly recommend a visit when in Paarl.
